An Arizona Cardinals personnel manager has been suspended indefinitely for violating the league’s gaming policy.
On Friday, it was announced that Ryan Gold, the Cardinals’ director of college scouting, had been suspended.
According to the Associated Press, the league said that after an investigation it was determined that he disclosed confidential, non-public insider information about the Cardinals’ picks in the 2026 NFL Draft before they were made, although they did not mention who he gave that information to.

Additionally, the league found that Gold was also making parlay bets on NFL games and college games.
In a statement, the NFL reiterated its gaming policy and said the integrity of NFL games was not affected by its findings.
“The gaming policy, which is reviewed annually with all NFL personnel, strictly prohibits anyone in the NFL from participating in or facilitating any form of sports gambling, and from providing third parties with non-public information,” the statement said. “While there is no reason to believe that the integrity of an NFL game has been affected, the League takes any violation of gaming policy with the utmost seriousness.”

The Cardinals organization also released a statement and confirmed that only one employee was involved in the investigation.
“The NFL’s policies and expectations for all employees are clear, complete and consistently communicated. We fully support the league’s decision in this matter, which involves a single employee. Our focus remains on preparing for the start of training camp next week and the 2026 season.”
