Bear Bets are real bets that Chris “The Bear” Fallica actually makes.
There is a team that has now caught my attention, which wasn’t the case before this tournament kicked off.
It is therefore completely normal that I include it in my latest bets.
Here’s how I bet on Matchday 30, Day 3 of the Quarter-Finals.

World Cup best bets – Saturday July 11
England vs Norway
Norwegian Erling Haaland was one of the stars of the tournament (Getty Images).
I hope this one lives up to the hype.
Norway was one of the best stories of the World Cup and a team I underestimated. I really like the angle of both teams scoring and I wouldn’t be opposed to having fun with exact scores like 2-2 or 3-2.
Erling Haaland knows many of these players very well – and vice versa – so it’s an interesting subplot. Jarrell Quansah is absent following a red card. Not only was England’s appeal rejected, but FIFA added another match, which could be a semi-final against Argentina. So that’s a reason to expect goals.
In addition, four English players are on yellow cards: Jude Bellingham, Marc Guehi, Nico O’Reilly and Declan Rice. Each of them picks up a card, they too miss a potential semi-final.
I think England might be a little shy here, and that should result in at least a goal from Norway. I’m sure England would love to go several goals ahead and make a few changes to get these guys off the field, but who knows if they’ll get that opportunity.
Fallica’s choice:
Both teams score – Yes (-155)
Argentina vs. Switzerland

Lionel Messi could win the Golden Boot – even if Argentina misses the final (Getty Images)
Switzerland was non-existent offensively against Colombia without young star Johan Manzambi. I don’t think he’ll play here, which means, again, we’re probably dealing with a Swiss team that might struggle to put the ball in the net.
But that would also have been the case for Cape Verde and Egypt against Argentina.
I’ll just take what’s given and it’s Lionel Messi as the scorer at all times. It’s undeniable.
Additionally, I add Messi Golden Boot to my future. Argentina should advance here, which means three more matches. I would expect Messi to play if this third game was the third place match.
This is his last World Cup, and I’m sure Argentina would love to send him off with the Golden Boot, whether it comes via the final or not.
Fallica’s choices:
Lionel Messi Anytime Scorer (+100), Lionel Messi Golden Shoe Winner (-110)
