- Clearaudio grows at High End Vienna, with seven new releases
- In addition to the Rammstein, there is a Beatles turntable, plus one for players
- …and let’s not forget the new power supply, phono stage and new cartridge
- Only 1,000 Rammstein decks will exist, for $2,600 / £1,990 (around AU$3,639)
Want to know a secret? In 2000, when I was 20, I joined the cast of The Phantom of the Opera – or as you probably know, The Phantom of the Opera — in Hamburg as a solo ballet dancer (yes, there is ballet in the musical even if no one remembers it).
And that’s how I discovered Rammstein – and why now, Mein Herz Brent for this delicious new deck. It has just been unveiled by Clearaudio and is about to be presented at the major hi-fi and audiophile show High End Vienna.
Do you want one? It should be available in October (price and only $2,600 / £1,990, or about AU$3,639 where sold) and only 1,000 of these are being made, so I would register your interest ASAP, Auslandic Country…
Ich kein Engel sein — I just want this turntable
Fun Fact: “Angel of Music” translates to “Engel der Muse” in German (a key song from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s masterpiece), and listening to Till Lindemann et al. Angel That’s honestly how I learned to sing the language and understand it.
Rammstein fans know this, but the subtitle above means “I don’t want to be an angel.” Enough.
Either way, Clearaudio is a well-respected name in turntable production (just look at the five-star Clearaudio Concept, for starters), and the company is very keen for us to know that this isn’t a standard turntable with Rammstein-style shine. According to Clearaudio, it was “developed from the start as a completely independent model, combining the technical foundations of the proven Concept turntable with a design language created specifically in collaboration with Rammstein.”
The chassis features “solid block construction with an extremely rigid MDF core” and a metallic lacquer finish, and the built-in dimmable LED lighting – available in red or white – is what I really like (or It was Ich Liebeif you want).
The tonearm is the familiar T1 from Clearaudio, but here it has been combined with a special brand MM cartridge. Each deck is also shipped in a “premium wooden crate handcrafted in the Bavarian Forest, designed to then serve as storage for vinyls, merchandise or collectibles.”
And in case I haven’t emphasized it enough, the edition is strictly limited to 1,000 copies worldwide and is expected to be available from October 2026.
And now, the Innovation Revolver Special Edition – a Beatles tribute turntable
I know what you’re thinking: it’s rare that the Beatles are second to Rammstein. That’s true, but it’s my coverage, and I make the rules.
Clearaudio simply outdid itself for High End Vienna. I may not even have access to the new turntable designed for gamers, the off-grid power supply, the new “reinvented phono stage”, the carbon fiber cartridge or the redesignable Elevation 45 and Elevation 55 turntables, although I highly recommend going to see them in Vienna, if you can.
The Beatles’ 1966 masterpiece Revolver doesn’t need any further fanfare or buzz of Eleanor Rigby from me, but here’s a new Clearaudio turntable and, best of all, a unique optional (but very nice) monochrome stand to really celebrate it.
The new turntable plinth sandwiches aluminum with a “precision engineered composite stone” chosen specifically for its resonance control and playback stability, and this is also featured in the optional matching monochrome stand.
Clearaudio tells me the turntable is fully set up and ready to play, including the Clearaudio Tracer tonearm in Black Carbon, Concept MC Signature cartridge, Professional Power 24V power supply, and Innovation Clamp.
As you might hope, the package is rounded out with a heavy special edition of Revolvermastered at half speed on 180g vinyl with the newly mixed stereo album and restored artwork by Klaus Voormann.
This very special edition will be available from late summer 2026, with a suggested retail price of $17,900 / £10,500 (around AU$19,744) for the turntable, but you’ll need another $11,050 / £7,500 (around AU$14,100) for this matching stand.
Do you want to buy it? Good for you. Just make sure you won’t have to hide from Collector later – although I suppose Tomorrow never knows…
