Corey Feldman remains in the hospital as doctors try to understand the cause of his medical emergency on a flight home.
TMZ reported that the former child star was hospitalized overnight after falling ill on a flight to Los Angeles. According to the outlet, Feldman, 54, was greeted by paramedics upon landing at LAX on June 15 after experiencing symptoms mid-flight from Chicago. The outlet also reported that a doctor on board examined the actor before the plane arrived in Los Angeles.
The health crisis came just days after Feldman regained his Stay close to me co-stars Jerry O’Connell and Wil Wheaton for a pair of live appearances celebrating the beloved 1986 coming-of-age classic. The trio stopped in Indianapolis on June 13 before heading to Chicago the next day, where fans came out in droves for these nostalgia-filled events.
In fact, Feldman had celebrated the strong public reaction shortly before the incident. In a social media post, he highlighted the “incredible turnout” at both shows and said the “chances were very high.” Stay by my side live dates may be announced in the future.
Although details regarding the medical emergency remain limited, Feldman’s representative confirmed to People magazine that doctors ruled out gallstones.
