Recommendations will be presented to the Prime Minister for consideration, ministry says

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday chaired a meeting of the committee on improving government efficiency, which finalized concrete recommendations prepared by five sub-working groups, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).

In an article on

“The recommendations will be presented to the Prime Minister for consideration,” the statement added.

The meeting was attended by Ministers of Petroleum, Information Technology and Telecommunications, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, Federal Secretaries of Cabinet, Establishment, Economic Affairs and Telecommunications, and other relevant stakeholders, the ministry added.

On Monday, Dar chaired the fourth meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Follow-up Committee to review preparations for the upcoming Chairmanship of the Council of Heads of State (CHS) of Pakistan for 2026-27 and the CHS Summit to be held in Islamabad in 2027.

The subcommittees briefed the meeting on the progress regarding venue, accommodation, security, finances, media management, transportation and logistics of visiting delegations to the SCO CHS Summit.

The DPM/FM asked the concerned heads of the subcommittees to expedite the work.
