David Beckham has a very important message for his former eldest son, Brooklyn, after his questionable World Cup ad.
On Sunday (June 31), the soccer icon celebrated his first Father’s Day without any contact with his and Victoria Beckham’s firstborn since Brooklyn, 25, cut off contact with the entire family last year. Yet David, 51, sent his love to Brooklyn and his three siblings – Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 14 – in an Instagram tribute.
Sharing several photos of the kids, the father-of-four wrote: “Being a dad is my most important job… I love you all and thank you mom @victoriabeckham for [giving] me our beautiful family… Happy Father’s Day to all dads around the world.
Not only did David emphasize that he loves “all” of his kids, but he also shared several photos of Brooklyn. In the first photo, a young Brooklyn is holding baby Harper with Romeo and Cruz by their side.
The second photo was even more poignant as it showed David and Brooklyn smiling at a table. David also shared photos of himself with Romeo, Cruz and Harper individually.
Meanwhile, on her Instagram, Victoria Beckham also shared a family photo of the boys and Harper, calling David their “best dad” and the children their “greatest achievement”.
Unsurprisingly, hopeful parents received radio silence from Brooklyn, who not only blocked his family on social media, but also didn’t share any Father’s Day messages. At least Romeo and Cruz paid tribute to their old man with sweet tributes on Instagram.
David and Victoria Beckham, who married in 1999, also paid tribute to their own fathers, Ted Beckham and Anthony William Adams.
