The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Tuesday said the death toll due to rains, flash floods and landslides across the country rose to 110 during the ongoing monsoon season.
The NDMA, in a press briefing to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, said some 360 people were injured in rain-induced incidents across the country since June 26, while nearly 800 houses were damaged.

Most deaths were reported from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, followed by Punjab.
The NDMA warned that several parts of the country could face flash floods and glacial lake outbursts over the next month due to rapid melting of glaciers in northern areas.
Prime Minister Shehbaz ordered authorities to use “all available resources”, including early warning systems, to mitigate the impact of rains and floods.
Pakistan experiences heavy monsoon rains each year, usually from late June to September, often causing widespread flooding and significant property damage.
Meteorological authorities are forecasting another round of heavy rains over northern and southern Pakistan over the next two days.

A day earlier, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted a powerful monsoon from July 29 which may affect Islamabad, upper Punjab, KP, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and upper river catchments. According to the PMD, the new wave is expected to last until August 5. The meteorological department also warned that the next monsoon system is expected to trigger urban flooding and rising water levels in rivers, streams and nullahs.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Home Department imposed Section 144 across the province, banning unauthorized bathing, swimming and boating in various water bodies for 60 days.
