- Exit resolution for Nintendo Switch 2 of the camera models have been revealed
- The official camera will be released at 1080p, while the Tierce of Hori option is available at only 480p
- Both are currently listed on the website of the Nintendo UK store
The GameChat Nintendo Switch 2 camera can be cheaper than the official option, but its resolution will be much worse.
IGN noticed that the official accessory of the Nintendo Switch 2 camera and the Camera of the Hori Piranha Tierce factory have confirmed their resolutions published on the My Nintendo UK store.
The official accessory of the Nintendo Switch 2 camera is more expensive at $ 49.99 / £ 49.99, but it has a 1080p video capture quality.
I can see why people are more interesting in the camera officially under license. The design of the Piranha factory is catchy, and it can be well perched on your Switch 2. system. It is also much cheaper, with a price in the United Kingdom of £ 33.99.
The main drawback here is that the Hori model will be released to a derisory 480p, which will make a much more grainy image compared to the official camera. This is even more a problem given that – at least from what we have seen so far – the outlet of the camera is quite small on the TV screen. This will make your appearance even less defined compared to this clearer Full HD output.
I love the look of the Hori camera, especially when he was standing next to the rather boring design that Nintendo opted. So, for children and the family, the Piranha vegetable camera can always be a decent and affordable choice. But for more complete multiplayer sessions with friends, it is difficult to challenge the official camera being the path to follow.
At TRG, we will of course strive to have the two options test and revise, so there is still a chance that the Hori camera might surprise us. But the official specifications do not generally lie, and for the moment, it does not seem good for this cheaper model.
