Eminem is caught in a legal dispute with two The Real Housewives of Potomac stars.
The 53-year-old rapper, born Marshall Bruce Mathers III, claimed Gizelle Bryant and her former bandmate Robyn Dixon were harassing him over a deposition, a legal meeting in which they had to answer questions under oath about their ongoing feud.
The fight began in 2023 when Bryant, 55, and Dixon, 46, attempted to trademark their podcast Reasonably Shady.
Eminem, known as Slim Shady, opposed the move, saying the word “shady” was too close to his brand. However, the disagreement has since spiraled into more than two years of back-and-forth legal battles.
Housewives said it was nearly impossible to schedule the rapper’s deposition, saying they ended up getting a two-hour slot on Oct. 29 starting at 2 p.m., which they said caused problems for their legal team.
They also accused Eminem’s lawyers of failing to cooperate in good faith and called the lineup a “take it or leave it” offer.
THE Mockingbird The rapper’s legal team fired back on November 11, saying the complaints were overblown, as they said he could come in later in the day if necessary.
Manager Paul Rosenberg added that Eminem spent his mornings in the studio recording new music and that missing sessions would disrupt his work and that of his collaborators.
THE rap god The hitmaker’s team called the Housewives’ motion an attempt to harass him over a minor scheduling issue.
Additionally, the Patent and Trademark Office has not yet made a decision and neither party has made any additional comments.
