With BTS, Justin Bieber, Shakira, Madonna and more set to perform at halftime of the FIFA World Cup final, fans received an excited update.
As global stars prepare to take over, fans are wondering one thing: How can so many major artists fit into such a short performance?
Executive producer Guy Carrington of Done+Dusted finally addressed these concerns just before the tournament’s first-ever halftime show kicking off this weekend.
Despite the star-studded lineup, Carrington assured fans that the show had been meticulously planned and would unfold as a tightly choreographed mega-mix, with a few as-yet-secret surprises.
“Obviously I’m not going to give anything away about the show itself, but we spent months and months preparing it, developing it and working with all the artists,” he said. The Hollywood Reporter.
“This is a carefully curated performance that is going to be spectacular,” Carrington added, further raising the anticipation for this historic event.
2026 FIFA World Cup Halftime Show Duration?
Meanwhile, reports suggest the halftime show could expand beyond a traditional football halftime show.
According to Reuterswhile the performance itself is expected to last around 11 minutes, setting up the stage will take around seven minutes, with dismantling the equipment and clearing the grounds likely requiring a similar amount of time.
As a result, halftime of Sunday’s World Cup final between Spain and Argentina is expected to last longer than the usual 15 minutes.
THE BBC also reported that the halftime break could extend up to 25 minutes, which would allow plenty of time for the tournament’s first-ever halftime entertainment show.
