In the saddle: the first full trailer for Yellow stone spin-off Dutton Ranch has been released, which you can view below.
Now closer to Landman that Yellow stone in the universe of Taylor Sheridan (which also takes place in Texas), Dutton Ranch clearly trying to break up with Yellow stoneIt’s a complicated past. But as we can see in the new clips, the spirit of John Dutton (Kevin Costner) is haunting his daughter.

In our first look at a heartbreaking film Dutton Ranch In these scenes, Beth admits that she misses her father, with Rip responding that they “took the best parts of him with us”.
There’s no doubt that this sets up the nine-episode series for an ongoing John Dutton subplot… but are we already forgetting the most intriguing part of what’s to come?

As Paramount’s official character synopsis explains, “Seen confronting Beth Dutton’s character in the Dutton Ranch In this trailer, Beulah is the powerful, charming and cunning leader of a large ranch who believes in the power of family heritage. ยป
Now let’s add this to the general synopsis of the series. “Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton bet everything on a new life in South Texas, but the promise of building a future far from the ghosts of Yellowstone quickly clashes with new realities and a rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire.”
Put two and two together, and we’re left with the assumption that Beulah runs the rival ranch in question…and judging from the above, playing nice isn’t in her vocabulary.
Not only is Annette Bening an incredible actress, but I can’t remember the last time I saw her play a true villain. If I had to confront him over an agricultural dispute, I’d be more of a chicken than a cow, that’s for sure.
Obviously, this is fantastic news for Yellow stone fans that John Dutton’s legacy lives on Dutton Ranch. But if we’re going to explore Beth and Rip’s new story in its entirety, we need to step out of the old and in with the new.
