Chinese envoy congratulates Foreign Minister on Pakistan’s success on ‘Marka-e-Haq’ anniversary

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Tuesday reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to further advance the all-weather strategic partnership with China in all sectors, during a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong.

According to the statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), the Chinese envoy called on FM Dar.

The Ambassador congratulated FM Dar on Pakistan’s landmark success on the occasion of the ‘Marka-e-Haq’ anniversary and reaffirmed the enduring strength of the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership between Pakistan and China.

“FM Dar reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to further advance the all-weather strategic partnership with China in all sectors,” the statement said.

In March, the Chinese envoy met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and discussed Pakistan’s economic ties with China and ongoing bilateral projects.

The Prime Minister congratulated Chinese leaders on the successful conclusion of the “two sessions”, thanking President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang and Foreign Minister Wang Yi for their warm greetings on the occasion of Pakistan Day. The Prime Minister highlighted Pakistan’s continued commitment to promoting the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) 2.0, with special emphasis on agriculture, industrial cooperation and key infrastructure projects.

Ambassador Jiang expressed China’s appreciation for Pakistan’s resilience and reform efforts, offering continued support on trade and investment.

Both sides recognized the progress made in strengthening bilateral relations and expressed satisfaction with the ongoing exchanges. They also looked forward to marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations with high-level engagements.
