Scotland and Morocco also face off in Group C in Boston, and Turkey and Paraguay close out the evening on the west coast in a must-win Group D for both teams. The American team is at its best attacking from wide positions. Normally a full-back, Pochettino places Dest higher up the pitch to take advantage of his dribbling and shooting abilities. There are questions about Pulisic’s health heading into this game and that would make Dest even more important to the team’s offense on the right side.
Scotland vs Morocco
Player to watch
The young Moroccan central midfielder is one of the best young players in this tournament. Frenchman Bouaddi, 18, was given the difficult task of starting against Brazil on his World Cup debut, and he passed the test with flying colors as Morocco controlled the midfield for long periods. Currently in Lille, Bouaddi will probably find himself very soon in one of the best teams in the world. But even if helping Morocco to a draw against Brazil was an acceptable result, Bouaddi will need to help secure a victory against Scotland.
Brazil vs. Haiti
Player to watch
The 32-year-old central defender is the captain and leader of Brazil. If the issues surrounding the team are anxiety and pressure, the captain will need to play a role in helping to calm the team down and focus the players on the task at hand. Against Haiti, Marquinhos may not have much responsibility on defense, but his leadership responsibilities will be essential.
Türkiye vs. Paraguay

Paraguay’s captain and best central defender is extremely talented in South American football, where he won everything with Palmeiras. As Paraguay looks to force Türkiye into low percentage shots, Gomez will be essential in keeping the Paraguayan defense fit and organized. Gomez is an emotional leader and the winner of this match between two frustrated teams could depend on who has the better leadership.
