In the months since that reveal, we’ve learned when it might be released. Talk to comicbook.com before Invincible When Season 4 debuted in March, co-creator Robert Kirkman indicated that its sequel should be ready in early 2027. That means it could drop any time between January and April of next year.
With all but one InvincibleWith previous seasons of airing in February or March, one of those months makes the most sense from a release contestant’s perspective. I guess ? We will see Invincible 5 somewhere in March 2027.
Invincible Season 5 Trailer: Is There One?
No – and, if past years are anything to go by, we’ll have to wait until New York Comic-Con (NYCC) 2026 to get one. Previous episodes of NYCC have featured some fun Burger Mart teasers over the past three seasons, so it makes sense that our first look at Invincible Season 5 is expected to arrive at NYCC 2026 in mid-October.
As for an official trailer, don’t expect to see one until January or February 2027. Whenever footage from the next season goes live, I’ll update this section.

The above list is not exhaustive. Depending on what plot Season 5 of the comic book – more on that in the next section – draws inspiration from, villainous characters including Angstrom Levy, the Technicians, Doc Seismic, Omnipotus, Furnace, Kursk, Volcanikka, Universa and Giant could join its already stacked ensemble.
New additions could be made to Invincible so does the season 5 cast, but I’d really be entering major spoiler territory for the graphic novels if I discussed it. For viewers who haven’t read the source material, I’ll refrain from spoiling those surprises here.
Speculation on the story of Invincible season 5
Major spoilers follow for Invincibleup to including the final chapter of season 4.
Invincible The story synopsis for season 5 has not been revealed yet. However, the eighth and final episode of last season hinted at where things would go next. You can remember what happened in this chapter via my Invincible Article explained at the end of season 4.
Longtime fans of the graphic novels already know how the overall narrative and subplots will unfold from this point on. I’ll cover a few below, so this is your one and only warning: full spoilers immediately follow for the Invincible comics.
One of the most important plot threads that Invincible 5 must deal with Thragg and the remaining Viltrumites. After the destruction of their homeworld, and much to Mark’s dismay, they not only took up residence on Earth, but also threatened to decimate the third rock from the Sun if anyone tried to stop them from coexisting here.
Even if Mark agreed to let them stay, really, what choice did he have? – will he eventually tell anyone that Thragg and company are already on the planet? As far as I remember, it is not in the source material and, although InvincibleThe TV adaptation of has deviated from the comics at times, I don’t expect that to change.
Either way, Mark’s decision to let the Viltrumites stay on Earth will come back to bite him. No spoilers for what’s in store for the eponymous hero, but let’s just say there’s an incredibly controversial moment in the graphic novels that, if played out the same way in this series, will almost certainly stun viewers who haven’t read the comics.
Meanwhile, on Talescria, Allen – now leader of the Coalition of Planets after Thaedus’ death – must make a choice between using the perfected form of the Scourge virus. Do so, and he’ll kill not only Thragg and company, but also Mark, Nolan, and Oliver – the latter trio being his close friends. Decisions, decisions…
There are many other major subplots that also need to be revisited and/or resolved.
Nolan and Debbie’s broken relationship requires further examination, and we need to see if Oliver will be okay after the explosive events of Invincible season 4, episode 7. Additionally, we should return to the Guardians of the Globe, learn the fate of Rudy ‘Rex’ Connors/Robot and Amanda/Monster Girl after they were trapped on the Flaxans’ home planet, and get the latest episode in the Order’s ongoing civil war.
On top of all that, there’s the small matter of continuing the entirely original Damien Darkblood storyline introduced last season, and a myriad of other new plot threads that Invincible season 5 will be up to the task. Strap in, friends, because things are only going to get more dramatic from here on.
Has Invincible season 6 already been announced?
No, but I’ll be stunned if Invincible season 6 is not officially confirmed in the coming months.
In recent years, new seasons of the critically acclaimed R-rated television series have been announced at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC). With this year’s edition of the world’s largest comic book convention taking place once again in July, I suggest keeping an eye out for the Season 6 renewal around that time.
