Blake Lively will not attend Taylor Swift’s wedding to Travis Kelce.
A source said Page sixdespite reports suggesting the two former friends are quietly rebuilding their relationship.
“There hasn’t been an olive branch when it comes to their friendship,” a source told the outlet. “And Taylor didn’t send Blake a wedding invitation.”
This confirmation puts an end to the speculations which had accumulated in recent weeks, after the Daily Mail reported that Swift had become more receptive to speaking with Lively as the actress’ legal battle against It ends with us director Justin Baldoni has stepped down.
Some sources had gone so far as to suggest that Lively was “slowly coming back into the fold” and that “everyone around Taylor knew Blake might attend” the ceremony.
The rift between the two women, close friends since 2015, comes from the fact that Swift’s name is involved in the legal dispute between Lively, 38, and Baldoni, 42.
The singer would have felt used.
“Taylor wants nothing to do with this whole ordeal. She has always been a loyal friend of Blake’s and doesn’t appreciate being involved in this matter at all,” a source previously said.
“Taylor is really hurt by this whole situation and feels like a pawn.”
Their friendship began after Lively shared a photo from a L’Oreal campaign referencing Swift. Bad blood music video that caught the singer’s attention.
The two became one of Hollywood’s most visible female friendships over the ensuing decade, making their breakup even more notable.
Swift, 36, is expected to marry Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, also 36, this summer.
Sources have previously reported that the couple has scaled back their initial guest list to keep things more intimate, and it looks like Lively, at least for now, won’t be among those in attendance.
