Jake Paul breaks silence after Olivia Rodrigo’s wild joke on SNL

Jake Paul has broken his silence after singing sensation Olivia Rodrigo mocking him during his Saturday evening live appearance this weekend.

The 23-year-old musician hosted the NBC flagship sketch show and mocked the YouTuber-turned-boxer for “beating up old guys on Netflix,” apparently referencing Jake’s fight against boxing legend Mike Tyson.

During his monologue, Rodrigo recalled his childhood plans and joked, “When I was 13, I was in a Disney series called Bizaardvark, and we had an incredible cast, which included acting legend Jake Paul.”

She also recalled conversations the two stars had around that time, saying, “And we were always talking about our future, me and Jake. I was like, ‘I really want to make music that explores the complexities of girls my age,’ and he was like, ‘Well, one day I really want to beat up old people on Netflix.’

In a fight broadcast live on Netflix in 2024, Jake defeated 58-year-old legend Tyson in what was widely described as more of a spectacle than a real fight.

Rodrigo has a successful music career and Paul went from a social media sensation to a boxer, so apparently both have achieved their childhood dreams.

The singer said: “And we both did it, hooray!”

Jake turned to X to respond to Rodrigo’s monologue and wrote: “We had the vision [crying laughing emoji] I told you you’d sell out the stadiums and then we were both proud of you. [for real].”

Olivia Rodrigo and Jake Paul starred together on the Disney Channel sitcom Bizaardvarkwhich lasted three seasons from 2013 to 2016.
