WWE star Danhausen received a lot of credit from professional wrestling fans who also sided with the New York Knicks for helping the franchise shake off its curse and win the NBA title.
When Danhausen first “cursed” the Knicks, star point guard Jalen Brunson wouldn’t comment on the voodoo magic happening off the court. Brunson noted that he and the Knicks coaches “recognize” Roman Reigns before every game.

As Brunson helped the Knicks win their first NBA championship in 53 years, he finally commented on Danhausen’s “non-curse.”
“At first I was a little skeptical. But, I mean, you have to believe it now,” Brunson said during a Monday night appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
Danhausen’s hype was palpable in the days and weeks leading up to the NBA Finals. He “cursed” the Cleveland Cavaliers, which preceded the Knicks’ appearance in the NBA Finals.

Danhausen reacted to Brunson’s mention Tuesday morning.
“DANHAUSEN KNEW THEY BELIEVED,” he wrote on
Brunson was named NBA Finals MVP. He averaged 32.6 points per game during the five-game series. He scored 45 points in the deciding game, leading the Knicks to another comeback victory.
