Former New York Knicks sensation Jeremy Lin has addressed the romance rumors that once took the news buzz by storm.
Lin is setting the record straight about his longtime romance involving reality TV star Kim Kardashian.
In a final appearance on a podcast show, he opened up for the first time about Pablo Torre finds out.
Lin, 37, responded at length to speculation that he and Kardashian dated during the height of the “Linsanity” era in February 2012.
“I remember the headlines, ‘Kim Kardashian wants to date Jeremy Lin,'” host Torre mused during a conversation with his guest on the podcast.
Reflecting on his memories, Lin shared that the SKIMS founder contacted Knicks management to inquire about him during his 2011-2012 NBA season.
On the podcast, Torre said he still has no idea where the story came from.
Answering this question, Lin then explained the background.
“So that’s what I heard and I don’t know if it’s true or not… This request came to the Knicks and it’s a real request. I think basically she was filming her show at the time,” Lin explained.
“Whatever show was on at the time, but I know she was looking for an athlete from New York to basically be on that show,” Lin continued while emphasizing that he didn’t know if the story had an origin.
“That’s what I was told afterward,” Knicks ace Lin said.
“The request came to the Knicks and they immediately denied it without even asking because they said we’re not allowing our young second-year player to go that route right now.”
Currently, Kardashian is dating F1 champion Lewis Hamilton.
Romance rumors surfaced in February and more recently, Everything is fair The actress was spotted at the Monaco GP, vouching for Hamilton.
