The Little Mix spinoff shows no signs of cooling down.
Just hours after Perrie Edwards revisited the spat with her former bandmate Jesy Nelson, Jesy’s sister Jade fired back with a passionate defense in a statement on Instagram on Wednesday, June 10.
“People say in life be the bigger person, stay quiet, but in reality sometimes it doesn’t help,” Jade wrote.
She then described watching her sister endure years of criticism and mental health issues. “I’ve watched my sister go through hell and back for many, many years and very few will understand what it’s like to be tormented, bullied and belittled because of the way you look,” she said.
Jade also referenced Jesy’s past suicide attempts, writing, “I think when you try to end your life not once but twice it shows the dark place you must be in and YES it was with a lack of support on multiple occasions.”
Earlier today, Perrie appeared on Jamie Laing’s show. Large company podcast and emphasized that she was doing her best to help Jesy, even though Jesy claimed otherwise in her recent documentary.
“What bothers me the most is when situations like this happen and the other person takes no responsibility,” Perrie said.
But Jade had something to say about that.
“As for not taking responsibility, that’s actually all she’s done, she’s fully aware she’s worked hard, she’s fully aware she’s been difficult to deal with, but through it all, if another single person was dealing with a breakup, anxiety, life, she was there!”
