Katie Price is returning to her home country after previously saying she didn’t feel safe there.
Despite her flight being canceled due to strikes in the United Arab Emirates, the former glamor model returned to Gatwick Airport on Saturday, amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
The mother of five looked stunning and chic in her airport outfit. One of her friends greeted her and helped her carry her luggage to an airport cart.
Katie hid her “botched” procedures, which her husband Lee slammed a Dubai beautician for. Both men refused to pay for the treatment they underwent in recent months.
The beautician’s complaint came after The Sun reported allegations that Lee used counterfeit money to scam women.
Speaking to her sister Sophie in a video call, Katie, 47, explained how missile launches and bombings in the UAE had delayed her flight home.
As the situation unfolded, Katie continued to record her weekly podcast, The Katie Price Showvia video call with her sister Sophie.
“I don’t know if you can hear but I hear a *thud*. I’m supposed to go home tomorrow and we’ve had alerts all day and tonight we’re hearing a lot of activity,” she said in the new episode of the podcast.
“So all flights have been cancelled,” Katie confirmed. In fact, the star even claims to feel safer there than at home in the UK.
“I go online and I watch the news in England and it’s like I’m so happy to be here. Every day I watch the English news, there are shootings now, more crimes, it’s weird.
“Even though it’s happening here, you can leave your bag anywhere and walk around and feel safe.”
Katie added: “In England you are afraid to walk the streets.”
Katie has been traveling back and forth to Dubai to see her husband Lee since their whirlwind marriage began in February.
