KC Navarro is one of the emerging talents on the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) roster and has been in championship discussions since returning from a serious knee injury.
Navarro was out for several months recovering from a torn ACL he suffered last year. He told PK Press Club Digital in a recent interview that he feels good and that his match against AJ Francis was the first time he felt like himself again.

“I’m doing great. If you asked me when I first came back, I was definitely a little nervous, which everyone kind of told me, hey, when you come back from an ACL your freshman year, you’re going to kind of go ‘ah’. But I think the moment I faced AJ Francis in the street fight, that was the first time I really felt like myself,” he said. “And then when I faced (Mustafa) Ali for the international title, I was like, ‘Oh, yeah. I’m definitely back.’ Confidence has therefore returned. I feel good. I’m fine.
“Thank you to the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. They took care of me. They got me back really quickly. I came back in record time of about eight months. I actually was really cleared in seven, but I was back on TV in eight. But I feel really good. I feel stronger and I’m ready to do amazing things now.”

Navarro recently competed for the X Division Championship and the International Championship and, although both were losing efforts, his in-ring prowess pushed him toward a possible TNA World Championship shot against Nic Nemeth.

Nemeth defeated Mike Santana for the TNA World title at Slammiversary. Nemeth has apparently ended his friendship with Navarro since taking his place as head of TNA.
A possible matchup could be on the horizon when Lockdown takes place on August 23 at Credit Union Arena in Chicago. This will be the first confinement in more than 10 years.
“A lot of cage matches,” he told PK Press Club Digital when asked what fans can expect from Lockdown. “It’s going to be crazy. I think it’s also going to be really cool because it was such a historic match for TNA.
“So for it to be back, I think it’s very special and I think it will be a lot of people’s first time in a cage. I know it will be my first time in a cage. I’ve never been in a cage. I think all the titles will be on the line as well, which is also really, really cool. And it’s in Chicago, which is such a phenomenal wrestling city. So, I think the place is going to be loud. It’s going to be packed and it’s going to be a sight to see absolutely, for sure.”
For now, Navarro continues to emerge as a main player in the “Impact” event.
He shared why pro wrestling fans should continue to tune into the show Thursday night on AMC.
“Well, I think TNA is special because you have so much talent from so many different generations. You have people who are new, people who are on the rise, who are up and coming and who just never had a chance,” Navarro said. “People who were elsewhere never had the chance to finally show who they really are.

“And then there are legends like the Hardys, Nic Nemth, Frankie Kazarian, guys who have been successful and have been at the top of their game. And we can all work together to do such an incredible thing on such an incredible platform. And I feel like we’re not really lacking in shows and pay-per-views. I feel like we have new stories, something really new, that you don’t see. And that’s why I really think people should continue to listen.”
