King Charles is not going anywhere, and this has been proven once again by the new key role he has taken on.
Amid his health problems and family tensions, reports have emerged from time to time that the monarch may hand over the duties of the Crown to his son, Prince William.
But that’s not the case. With each new challenge, the king stood taller than before.
After the dark episode of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, which took away the light from the Palace, the royal family set off for a big party.
King Charles and members of his family are set to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Queen Elizabeth II with significant engagements.
Before then, the monarch will become patron of a new charity, the Queen Elizabeth Trust, set up to honor the late queen’s legacy.
On Tuesday the charity will be officially launched, with the king having an important role to play.
According to Good morning! Reviewthe organization will provide support to communities across the UK, possible projects could include “the development of underused buildings, green spaces and neighborhood hubs”.
The United Kingdom government notably made a one-off donation of £40 million to enable the association to recover.
Additionally, there are two projects honoring the late monarch: the national memorial located in St James’s Park and a digital memorial.
Chairman of the Queen Elizabeth Trust, Sir Damon Buffini, expressed his excitement at taking on such a great opportunity and pledged to make this project useful for all.
It is pertinent to note that King Charles is also said to have written a personal speech in memory of his mother, thus honoring her long-standing legacy.
