King Charles to make tough changes to royal diary as Sussex visit approaches

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly returning to the UK with their two children after a years-long feud with the royal family.

Sources have already revealed that King Charles is keen to see Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. During his visit last September, the monarch received a framed photo of the two children as a gift from his son.

Although meeting Harry was easier to arrange, the king now faces a dilemma if the Sussex clan passes, according to royal expert Jennie Bond.

She stressed that this was an “extraordinary turn of events” and that “the big question now is whether the king will see them”. Bond claimed that Charles was unlikely to refuse to see Archie and Lilibet if they were in town.

“It would be absolutely damning if the king did not find time in his diary to see his grandchildren, whom he has not seen for four years,” she said. The Sun.

“If they all get together, it will be interesting to see if that will help resolve any family feuds.”

Optics are of great importance to the royal family, especially after numerous controversies have cast a dark cloud over the monarchy. The king wouldn’t want this to take up more space in the headlines than necessary.

Bond added that there was a time when Charles got along quite well with his daughter-in-law. They shared similar tastes in literature and music and there’s also the historic moment when Charles walks Meghan down the aisle when she was separated from her own father.

However, given how things have gone over the past year, this would make for a tense meeting. There is also the question of Prince William, who does not at all want to meet Harry or his family. So it would be a stressful thing to organize from all angles.

Bond thinks it’s the parents’ job to “forgive”, otherwise this reunion would be far from joyful.
