Peshawar:
The government of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa will denounce the budget for the financial year 2025-26 on June 13.
The chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur shed light on the summary sent by the Ministry of Finance and approved the date of budgetary presentation.
Instead of the financial advisor Muzamil Aslam, the Minister of AFTAB Alam will unveil the budget because Aslam is not a member of the Chamber. Alam had also presented the current financial year budget.
Sources have indicated that the total expenses of the KP budget for the next fiscal year should be set at RS2,000 billion rupees.
About RS450 at 500 billion rupees are likely to be reserved for development projects.
It is relevant to mention that the total volume of the current financial year has been set at RS1751 billion, with 420 billion rupees reserved for the ADP. The KP government is preparing for an excess budget of 180 billion rupees for the next fiscal year.
Interestingly, the KP government had broken the parliamentary tradition last year and presented an excess budget for the year 2024-25 in the provincial assembly, even before the announcement of the federal budget, an unprecedented decision in the history of the country.
