Lewis Capaldi is celebrating a milestone in his personal and professional life.

On Saturday, June 27, the Grammy-nominated musician officially celebrated the one-year anniversary of his return to music after announcing a 2023 hiatus due to mental health issues.

On his Instagram, Capaldi shared a series of photos from the scene along with a heartfelt note.

“One year back in the saddle and since returning to the stage at Glastonbury, what a year it’s been,” Capaldi, 29, wrote.

Celebrate by playing in front of 70,000 people in Exeter over the next two days. Thanks for everything my guys,” he added.

After his performance at Glastonbury 2023, the Someone you loved The hitmaker released a statement confirming he would be retiring from music.

“I used to be able to enjoy every second of shows like this and hope that three weeks away would fix me,” he wrote.

“But the truth is that I’m still learning to adapt to the impact of my Tourette’s and on Saturday it became clear that I needed to spend a lot more time getting my mental and physical health in order, so that I can continue doing everything I love for a long time.”

After a long break, Capaldi finally returns to music with his single, Survivereleased on June 27, 2025.

The same day, he also returned to the Glastonbury stage, and he has shown no signs of slowing down since.
