- LOEWE WE.BOOST is a 4.1.2 Dolby Atmos wireless speaker system
- Wireless HDMI ear, four satellites and a subwoofer
- £ 999 (approximately $ 1,282 / $ 2,140 in) and available in June 2025
The German luxury brand Loewe has announced a new wireless house cinema audio system that could be an interesting rival for the Sony Bravia Theater Quad, which really impressed us. Like Sony’s system, it consists of four wireless surroundings with Dolby Atmos Upfiring sound – but unlike the Sony, it includes a subwoofer as standard. It is also considerably more affordable.
In the United Kingdom, the Loewe We.Boost system costs £ 999 (around $ 1,282 / $ 2,140 in). The Sony system has an MRSP of £ 2,499 / $ 2,499, although you can find it for around £ 1,999 – but anyway, it’s always half the price, and Loewe is not as noise.
But there are key differences other than the price.
LOEWE WE.BOOST Surround system: Key characteristics
The Loewe We.Boost A 720 W of total power, with four active wireless active satellite speakers and a subwoofer. The audio is broadcast on the speakers via an HDMI EARC wireless adapter, and there is a central speaker outlet if you want to add one (another advantage on the Sony). The dongle also supports Bluetooth streaming and has a line.
The system is controlled via the Bluetooth remote control, the Incluse, which has an OLED screen and offers easy access to the modes of its predefined and levels of bass and triple.
We.boost is a 4.1.2 configuration with upward speakers – but this is where the Sony Quad has an advantage, because it has four upward channels (it is a 4.0.4 configuration).
If I planned the quad, I would be really tempted by this much more affordable option. That said, Hisense has his own equivalent quad in Bravia which undoubtedly released the prices of Sony – and there is an elephant in the shape of a sound bar in the room.
In the United Kingdom, you can now find the Samsung HW-Q990D five-star soundbar with surround speakers for this price or less in the United Kingdom. It is a much larger and more robust beast than soft and subtle Loewe speakers, but it is a hell of an speaker system for the price. (It should also be noted that Samsung has had a problem with an update breaking this sound bar model, although it seems to have been resolved for new purchases.)
The Loewe We.Boost will be available from Loewe and selected retailers from June 2025.
