Meghan Markle rewrote her own fashion playbook during her visit to Australia, bringing back a look she says was once a thing of the past.
While stepping out at Swinburne University in Melbourne, the Duchess of Sussex paired her elegant ‘Anya’ dress from Australian brand Friends with Frank.
In a 2024 interview with Bloomberg’s Emily Chang, Meghan was candid about her past royal wardrobe, admitting that wearing nude tights during her time as a working royal never really felt like “herself.”
She even joked that she hadn’t seen them “since ’80s movies,” describing the look as something that didn’t fit her personal style at the time.
The outing itself focused on more serious topics, with Meghan and Prince Harry engaging students in conversation about the realities of social media and its impact on mental health.
They both spoke about online wellbeing, listening to young people share their experiences while encouraging open dialogue about digital pressures.
The Sussexes are then expected to travel to Sydney, where the Duchess will take part in her much-discussed ‘Her Best Life’ retreat.
