Meghan Markle is sparking anticipation for her latest film project after sharing a brand new poster for Cookie queensthe documentary she produced with Prince Harry via Archewell Productions.
Reposting the official artwork on Instagram, Meghan shared the simple but uplifting message: “Big dreams start small. #CookieQueens isn’t in theaters until August 7,” to build excitement ahead of the documentary’s theatrical release.
Directed by renowned filmmaker Alysa Nahmias, Cookie queens follows four determined young Girl Scouts as they compete to become the best cookie sellers during the iconic Girl Scout Cookie season.
Although centered on one of America’s best-known traditions, the documentary explores themes far deeper than ambition, resilience, leadership and the realities of growing up.
The film premiered to good reviews at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, where Meghan described it as much more than a story about cookies.
Speaking ahead of the screening, the Duchess praised Nahmias’ creative vision, saying the documentary offers “one of the most powerful and meaningful representations” of an American tradition while modernizing the childhood experience.
“It’s cute, and yes, these young girls are fantastic and adorable,” Meghan told the audience. “But they are also beautiful girls on many levels who are on the cusp of becoming leaders and strong young women.”
The documentary celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit of its young stars while exploring the pressures, friendships and personal growth that accompany one of America’s greatest traditions of youth fundraising, an industry that generates hundreds of millions of dollars each year.
The film has already garnered praise following its festival debut, with critics applauding its heartfelt depiction of childhood and coming-of-age experiences ahead of its nationwide theatrical release.
