NFL News: Abdul Carter signals the interest of the giants

The draft of the NFL 2025 is less than two weeks old, and one of the best hopes of this year left a clue to which the team hopes to land.

The former Rusher of Penn State, Abdul Carter, should be one of the first players on the board of directors on April 25, and the Giants of New York have the third overall choice.

Carter added to speculation that he hopes to wear a blue uniform in his recruited season by sharing an image of Giant Lawrence Taylor on social networks.

The photo of the secondary temple seconds on the X Carter account on Friday was accompanied by the quote, “once a giant, always a giant.” The owner of the Giants, Wellington Mara, was recognized to invent the sentence.

This week’s visit is not the first time that Carter has been interacting with the Giants. Star Edge Rusher also had breakfast with the head coach by the Giants Brian Daboll earlier this month, in several reports.

The 132½ bags of Taylor rank second on the list of all the giants. The 9½ bags he had during his recruit season in 1981 are not included in the total because the bags were not considered an official statistics at the time.

Carter accumulated 23 bags during his three seasons with the Nittany Lions and received the honors of the defensive player of the year Big Ten after a solid campaign of 2024.

Carter fought with a shoulder injury during the university football playoffs. It was also recently revealed that he was dealing with a stress reaction in his foot. However, it remains unlikely that Carter will have to undergo surgery to solve the problem, ESPN reported.

If Carter ends up with the Giants, he would join a defensive line which already includes Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeaux and Dexter Lawrence.
