Terrell Owens has accused his former manager of more than 15 years of stealing money from him while he worked for him.

The Hall of Fame recipient posted a photo of an email highlighting alleged funds and a screen recording of a text exchange between the two in which Owens called Heather Mesalam out for “stealing.”

“I’m posting this because (Heather Mesalam) has been handling my business for over 15 years and I found out last October 3 that she stole from me. The video screenshot puts everything into perspective,” Owens said in a lengthy Instagram caption.

The email photo shows Owens’ apparent funds and expenses that Mesalam sent him, which includes the line “Me – 1500.”

Owens said in a message that these funds were “without my knowledge.”

“ONE PERSON CAN ONLY TAKE ON SO MUCH! Growing up, my grandmother said there were 2 people she couldn’t stand… A LIAR and A THIEF… When you manage someone’s business and get paid to do so, you have to be responsible for them!” » Owens said. “I haven’t always used my voice when I should, but I have time today.”

Owens said he debated making the matter public “because of the many questions I would receive about what and/or why,” but “with the recent deaths of football players by suicide and for my own mental health, I need to get this off my chest.”

“Because if ‘I stole from someone, I would be EVERYWHERE in the news, media, ESPN talking heads having a field day as well as blogs where my reputation and character would be questioned and destroyed, ruining business opportunities and relationships,’ Owens continued.

“Heather Mesalam (mezchick), it’s people like you who think you can just steal from me and think you’re going to get away with it. Trust me, with EVERYTHING I’ve been through with former agents like Drew and Jason Rosenhaus, the financial advisor Jeff Rubin they referred me to when they signed, where they mishandled football revenue, paid extraordinary child support payments and more.”

Rubin was linked to a scandal involving several NFL players who lost more than $40 million between 2008 and 2011.

“It’s things like this that people don’t see and may dismiss as insignificant, but it’s what motivates us as athletes and those who have committed suicide in what some call a selfish act,” Owens continued.

Owens also confirmed that Mesalam, “who stole from me,” “no longer [works] for me in any capacity” and implored his fans not to worry about him.
