NEWYou can now listen to PK Press Club articles!

It’s time to put up or shut up for many teams hoping to secure a playoff spot when the season ends in January. Week 15 is the perfect time to really make an impact.

No team has clinched a playoff spot yet and that could change very soon.

The Denver Broncos (11-2), New England Patriots (11-2) and Los Angeles Rams (10-3) are the teams that could find themselves in the playoffs when their games conclude on Sunday.

The Broncos can clinch a playoff spot with a win or tie as well as a loss to the Los Angeles Chargers or Jacksonville Jaguars. They could also advance to the playoffs if the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts lose or tie. If the Texans and Colts lose or tie, Denver will enter as well. The Texans and Colts just can’t tie it.

The Patriots can clinch the AFC East title with a win. New England can advance to the playoffs with a tie and a Chargers loss. Additionally, the Patriots can advance to the playoffs with a tie and a Texans or Colts loss or tie. A Patriots tie and a Jaguars loss will also put New England in the playoffs. If the Texans and Colts lose or tie, New England will enter as well. The Texans and Colts just can’t tie it.

It’s easier for the Rams. To make the playoffs, the Rams must beat the Detroit Lions.

A victory will also improve the ranking of all other teams.

The top seven in each conference look like this:

AFC

  1. Broncos (11-2)
  2. Patriots (11-2)
  3. Jaguars (9-4)
  4. Steelers (7-6)
  5. Chargers (9-4)
  6. Bills (9-4)
  7. Texans (8-5)
