NYPD makes multiple arrests outside MSG amid rowdy returns during Knicks Game 4

Game 4 of the NBA Finals saw rowdy behavior return once again in Madison Square, New York on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.

On Wednesday evening, New York police made several arrests outside MSG Arena after the crowd erupted.

The rowdy behavior began while the Knicks were playing their fourth home game of the NBA Finals against the Spurs.

Videos of the unrest circulating online showed the crowds climbing on cars, street signs and lamp posts as NYPD officers arrested people.

The NYPD, however, did not detail how many arrests were made, but confirmed that several arrests took place outside of the MSG arena.

Following the incident, Knicks owner James Dolan canceled the watch party outside MSG Arena in what appears to be a clash with city administration.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani took to X (formerly Twitter) and announced the decision just before 5 p.m., amid an apparent dispute with the Knicks owner over security measures and the size of the party.

After a stunning comeback, the streets were flooded with Knicks fans buzzing with the victory to make the series 3-1.

Game 5 of the NBA Finals is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026 in San Antonio, Texas.
