NYT Strands today (game #838) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #838, are…
- BOOTS
- CHAPS
- SPURS
- SADDLE
- JEANS
- BANDANA
- STETSON
- SPANGRAM: COWPOKES
- My rating: Easy
- My rating: Perfect
A game bringing together some, but not all, of the many accessories related to livestock workers.
The clothing worn by COWPOKES has had an unusually significant and lasting impact on Western fashion tastes. It’s pretty strange when you think that the kind of pants you’d wear to lasso a bull are the same ones you’d wear to draw up a spreadsheet or pour a cappuccino.
Anyway, I digress. An easy game to end the week. Only BANDANA slowed me down, but that was just because I wanted to see if I could connect “banana” first.
Yesterday’s NYT Strands Answers (Thursday, June 18, Match #837)
- CRAB
- ALGAE

- FISH
- PLANKTON
- THE URCHIN
- ALGAE
- SPANGRAM: CORAL REEF
