NYT Strands today (game #832) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #832, are…
- MUSIC
- SONG
- QUEUE
- WORDS
- SPEAKER
- MICROPHONE
- SPANGRAM: KARAOKE
- My rating: Easy
- My rating: Perfect
“Track event”: that’s athletics, isn’t it? Uh, no.
Luckily, the spangram – KARAOKE – was very hard to miss, so I didn’t have to look for shot put, discus and javelin. Instead, our quest was to search for musical words.
I’ve always avoided KARAOKE, both from having to sing – which is a nightmare – and also from experiencing the horror of watching people murder some of the greatest songs of all time. It’s pretty hard to avoid it in TV shows, though; recently I suffered from Alfred Molina while trying Thunder Road of Bruce Springsteen in the otherwise enjoyable film The districts. At least I think that was the case Thunder Road. This is the kind of thing that should come with a warning before you start watching.
Anyway, I digress…the game was easy, made all the easier by a few long game words into the MICROPHONE and SPEAKER.
Yesterday’s NYT Strands Answers (Friday, June 12, Game #831)
