- REFINE
- IMPROVE
- TO MODIFY
- SPANGRAM: HE STARES
- My rating: Hard
- My rating: Perfect
Despite the fact that I managed to complete this game without any guidance, I still rate it as “tricky” because it took me longer than usual to complete it – and that was with the help of a few rare letters.
The other head start was that after seeing “there” on the board, I decided that it must be part of the spangram and continued connecting the letters until I arrived at THEREIFIXEDIT – a spangram that looked a lot like a magician pulling an endless handkerchief from a top hat.
So today’s research was focused on perfectionism and people who have to do things exactly to feel like they’ve accomplished work to their high standards – a trait I certainly don’t have myself. Instead of “there, I fixed it,” my phrase when I fix things is “there, that will do.” Maybe we crooks will have our own Strands one day.
