“It’s a little fuzzy” is a phrase I could use every day about Strands and its confusing soup of letters that is slowly coming into focus.
My lack of mental clarity was brilliantly summed up by today’s research, which brought to light words describing faulty vision – often deliberately, for artistic purposes – and a thought process lacking similar acuity.
Despite my slow progress, I managed to finish the painting without any hints, although there was a lot of hesitation (notably about BEDIMMED, which still doesn’t seem like a real word to me), and I stopped in the final moments to admire the eyepiece-shaped spangram. It’s a wonder how they achieve these discreet wonders.
