“Be careful, be careful!” This could have taken several forms: a military exercise, a tannoy announcement, a particularly insistent teacher.
WATCH, obviously hidden in the upper left corner, was the word that reduced it to words meaning keeping a close eye on something.
After finding OBSERVE, I had perfectly occupied the top half of the board and was able to spot LIKEAHAWK – if I had been a hawk, I would have spotted him a little quicker, but I was happy with my catch nonetheless.
