“Obsession” hits digital after breaking box office records

After becoming one of the biggest surprise hits of 2026, the film is now available to watch at home via digital platforms.

The supernatural thriller, written and directed by Curry Barker, was released in theaters on May 15 via Focus Features.

Made on a low budget, the thriller surprised everyone by grossing more than $370 million worldwide.

However, it also became the highest-earning film in Focus Features’ history.

Starting July 1, fans will be able to purchase or rent the film on Prime Video and Apple TV. The digital version also includes special bonus content, including a behind-the-scenes featurette that shows how the film was made.

The story is about Bear, played by Michael Johnston, who finds a magical item called One Wish Willow.

He uses it to make Nikki, his crush played by Inde Navarrette, fall in love with him.

At first everything seems perfect, but the wish soon goes horribly wrong and Nikki’s love turns into something very scary.

The film also stars Cooper Tomlinson, Megan Lawless and Andy Richter.

The film also impressed critics and moviegoers. It received an A minus CinemaScore and holds a 94 percent critical rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Obsession is also expected to come to Peacock later, although no air date has been confirmed yet.
