Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said on Monday that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) has introduced an evening shift for consular services, extending working hours to facilitate the work of citizens.

This initiative is part of the ministry’s broader efforts to improve efficiency and ensure citizen-centric service delivery. Officials said details of the revised schedules have been outlined in a public notice issued by the ministry.

Previously, MOFA consular services were provided during normal government working hours, with citizens required to visit relevant offices during designated daytime hours.
The limited hours often posed challenges for individuals, especially overseas Pakistanis and working professionals, who faced difficulty accessing services during conventional office hours. The introduction of an evening shift aims to address these concerns by expanding the availability of services and providing greater flexibility to applicants.
