President Zardari underlined the importance of maintaining this momentum through structured engagement in energy security, trade and investment, defense and counter-terrorism, and other areas of mutual interest.
Stressing that a strong partnership between Pakistan and the United States directly contributes to regional peace and security, the President noted that its inherent value was validated in May last year, when President Trump successfully led the negotiation of a ceasefire between the two nuclear-armed states.
He added that with the changing global landscape, this partnership is strengthening, expressing appreciation for the confidence placed by the United States in Pakistan’s mediating role in negotiations with Iran.
President Zardari expressed his firm belief that a lasting solution can only be achieved through dialogue, diplomacy and de-escalation.
He said the people of Pakistan would be honored to welcome President Trump to Islamabad at the earliest.
