Perrie Edwards and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are officially married!
THE Daily Mail reported that the Little Mix star and the footballer exchanged vows on Saturday, June 13, in an intimate ceremony in Portugal. The couple, who have lived together for eight years, said “I do” at Quinta do Lago, in the presence of around 70 close friends and family members.
According to photos obtained by the outlet, Edwards, 32, arrived at a small Catholic church around 3 p.m. wearing a long-sleeved lace dress and a corset-style bodice. She walked out of the room with a bouquet of white calla lilies, hand in hand with her new husband.
After the service, guests gathered at the nearby Parrilla Natural restaurant for a reception overlooking one of the most picturesque locations in the Algarve.
The wedding marks a new chapter for the couple, who began dating in 2017 and got engaged in 2022. They already share two children together: son Axel and daughter Alanis Valentine, born just five months ago.
Before the ceremony, the newlyweds also had a lavish pre-wedding celebration.
Despite previous reports, Perrie’s former Little Mix bandmate Jade Thirlwall was not present during her performance at the Primavera Sound festival in Porto. It is unclear whether his colleague Leigh-Anne Pinnock was present. Unsurprisingly, Little Mix’s fourth member Jesy Nelson was not in attendance at the nuptials given her fallout with Edwards.
Edwards recently opened up about the fallout of his friendship during an appearance on The big company podcast earlier this week, where she also opened up about how Oxlade-Chamberlain helped her heal from her “toxic” past relationship with former One Direction member Zayn Malik.
