Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt are finding their footing as co-parents after their recent split, with sources sharing that communication between the two has improved and Davidson has adjusted his schedule to be more present for their daughter.
“Their communication has improved,” a relative told the American weeklydescribing the exes as having “productive conversations” about raising Scottie, the daughter they welcomed in December 2025.
“They worked on parenting together. Pete adjusted his schedule to be there for their daughter.”
Romantically, the source was lucid: “Pete and Elsie both wanted [the relationship] work and that’s not the case.”
Davidson, 30, is described by a second source as “very involved” in Scottie’s life, a characterization that directly contrasts with a narrative that has been circulating since Hewitt, also 30, posted a TikTok video earlier this month suggesting she was parenting “on her own.”
In the clip, Hewitt was responding to paparazzi photos of her looking tired while out for a walk with the baby.
“Yeah, yeah, I know. I’m exhausted, okay?” she said.
“I have a baby to take care of. And I also have to work and earn money, and I do it alone, which is difficult.”
When pressed by commenters, she clarified that she meant that she was supporting Scottie financially on her own.
Sources close to Davidson countered this point.
“His friends were very confused by this completely false story that claimed he was absent or not involved,” a close source said.
“He feels that’s just not the reality of the situation.”
Another source told Us that Davidson “fully supports” Scottie and Hewitt financially, covering her rent and health insurance in addition to expenses related to their daughter.
“Elsie’s messages caught everyone off guard because they simply aren’t true,” the source added.
As for Davidson’s emotional state, sources paint a picture of genuine disappointment rather than indifference.
“He felt like they were definitely in love and together for the long haul, so it’s a shame for him to be a single dad now,” a close source explained.
“They had many plans for the future.” However, a reconciliation is considered “very unlikely”.
Their relationship was first confirmed in March 2025, with Hewitt announcing her pregnancy in July of that year.
