As noted in an article by ResetEra, several regional versions of the PlayStation Store, including the UK, US, Japan, and more, offer the digital version of GTA6 listed as the number one bestseller at present.
Between the Standard and Ultimate editions, it looks like the more expensive $99.99 / AU$159.95 / £89.99 Ultimate Edition is also the top choice.
This is only the digital version of the game for PS5 consoles, and it’s harder to say how well the Xbox editions work.
That said, it appears that physical editions are also flying out at several retailers, with GTA6 currently holds the #1 best-selling spot in the PC & Video Games category on Amazon in the US and UK, as well as on GameStop.
This is despite the fact that physical copies don’t come with a disc but rather a digital download code in the box, which has caused quite a stir among fans since its reveal last week.
However, it seems that even amidst the controversy, gamers are willing to spend their money on the most anticipated game of all time.
