Sweden and Tunisia are set to face off in their opening Group F match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup at Monterrey Stadium in Guadalupe, Mexico on FS1.
This marks Sweden’s return to the World Cup stage for the first time since 2018. After missing the 2022 tournament, Sweden qualified in spectacular fashion in the UEFA qualifiers, beating Ukraine and Poland.
Sweden enters the tournament after a tough run of recent friendlies in which it lost 3-1 to Norway and tied Greece, a non-World Cup nation, 2-2.
Tunisia enters the tournament as one of Africa’s most reliable qualifiers, making their sixth appearance at the World Cup since 1998. The team secured their place in 2026 by finishing top of Group H of the CAF qualifiers, winning nine of ten matches and drawing one. They finished 13 points ahead of the rest of the group and posted an impressive goal differential of +22.
