If there was any chance that King Charles’ two sons could have reconciled at some point, Prince Harry appears to have blown it after his latest statement.
The Prince of Wales has not had contact with his younger brother for almost four years and even avoided any possibility of finding him while living under the same roof two years ago.
Harry brought his wife Meghan Markle and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to meet King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove this month. Meanwhile, William and Kate had a tight work schedule during this time.
The reunion itself did not go smoothly due to the chaos and confusion surrounding the royal accommodation offer and security. On top of that, Harry also lost his phone hacking case against the DailyMail.
According to royal expert Emily Andrews, Harry’s statement after the verdict was another indicator of his “victim mentality” and how it “ensures it’s ALWAYS someone else’s fault.”
She explained: “It’s the monarchy’s fault, the men in gray suits’ fault, his brother’s fault, his mother-in-law’s fault and even the British government’s fault. The fault is never his.”
It was already said that Prince William was “unhappy” with the Sussexes’ visit, which is why he had “snubbed” him not to approach him. The Prince of Wales reportedly wants Harry to take responsibility for his actions, which is why William remains so furious.
The expert said sources claimed the relationship was “far from thawing.”
“He didn’t want to take any risk of seeing his younger brother – or Meghan Markle – at his house,” Emily said.
“A brutal confrontation (which it surely would) between the warring brothers is something William would want to avoid at all costs.”
Prince Harry’s statement on privacy matter
Harry said in his statement that he and his six claimants came to court “seeking justice and accountability” but received “neither.”
“The fact that this court has chosen to reject them represents an inconsistency that is difficult to understand or reconcile with common sense, or with the evidence heard in the courtroom itself,” it reads.
“This is a complete and obvious whitewash, but unfortunately not entirely unexpected. However, the court’s efforts to exonerate the Mail are as shocking as they are completely unjustified.”
