Prince Harry and Meghan Markle seem to take a very different approach when it comes to handling their affairs.
The Duchess of Sussex made a solo appearance in Geneva, Switzerland, to deliver a powerful speech about keeping children safe in online spaces. However, there was a glaring irony in the message that one royal expert says is a decision Meghan cannot reverse.
According to royal expert Jennie Bond, Meghan has kept things “fresh and new,” which is good for current trends and boosting her business. Meanwhile, Prince Harry remains steadfast in his strong approach to charity work as his wife leads this new narrative.
“We don’t seem to hear much about Meghan’s charity work these days,” Jennie said. The mirror“But the greater his profile, the louder his voice can be to highlight the issues and campaigns he cares about.”
Harry is unlikely to follow a similar path in promoting his charities. He’s “much happier” using his platform to speak out on crucial topics, including growing aggression towards certain groups, promoting the Invictus Games and other causes.
Bond explained that it is “somewhat ironic” that Meghan “depends on the digital world for her commercial success” and “you can’t put the genie back in the bottle.”
She claims that since the Sussexes have spoken at length about the dangers of online spaces, their approach to using social media contradicts their campaign.
However, in the campaign led by Harry and Meghan, they did not advocate avoiding the use of online spaces but rather making them safer. In her last speech, Meghan stressed that progress must be made but with essential safety measures as with any public health issue.
