Prince Harry, who returned to the United States this week after a week-long trip to the United Kingdom, was reportedly provided with full security throughout his stay.
The Duke of Sussex’s visit to the UK was largely due to confusion over his security, as he focused on protecting his family during his time in the country.
After Buckingham Palace announced that a reunion between King Charles and the Sussexes had taken place, a friend of the Duke told the newspaper that security had indeed been “enhanced” for his return to Britain this time around.
“He would have wanted complete security from the start, but that was not on the table,” they said.
“But what was on the table represented a considerable increase compared to what existed before. For this reason, the visit was much better and everything is in a better place. These are still small steps, but there are reasons to hope for the future,” the source told the newspaper. Daily Mail.
Harry felt like his wish for his own private security to receive intelligence from the security services would be granted.
In another boost to the Duke’s security hopes, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said GB News nothing is set in stone and indicated that the situation could be subject to change, adding: “Security issues are at the forefront of the moment. The situation is not resolved satisfactorily.”
He continued: “I think people thought, and I thought, that he would get it at some point because security is very much in the news right now, so it could happen.”
The situation remains unresolved, but Harry might feel encouraged by the potential security improvements and hope for a more positive outcome before his next trip in September.
