Prince William returned to the spotlight with an emotional video message following Princess Kate’s major milestone.
On June 29, the Prince of Wales appeared in a video tribute to his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, sharing his “happiest memories” with royal fans.
He shared: “Although I had the privilege of knowing the late Queen better than anyone, some of my fondest memories of my grandmother come from here in Windsor.
I remember many quiet afternoons having tea with her and my grandfather at the castle, chatting, sharing stories and seeing how comfortable she was here, surrounded by her family and her beloved dogs and heroes.
William confessed that his love of tea time was passed on to him by the late Queen. He also delighted viewers by sharing the rare sight of his grandmother, who freely rode horses in the Grand Parc when she was away from her official commitments.
“These moments with my grandmother will be those that will always be dear to me,” concluded the future king.
Importantly, Prince William’s video, in which he paid tribute to the Queen, was shared on the Cabinet Office’s official Instagram page.
According to the team, “The Queen Elizabeth Digital Memorial today marks a significant milestone with the launch of a new collection of archival content and materials, including memories from those who knew her and the general public.”
They asked people to join Prince William and share their memories of Queen Elizabeth on their website.
William made an unexpected appearance on social media after the Princess of Wales completed the National Three Peaks Challenge for cancer awareness.
