There’s only one cure for a hot New Jersey summer day: the beach.
Fight Factory Wrestling brought the sun, cool ocean breeze and excitement to the Jersey Shore Tuesday night when it hosted The War on the Shore 3 at Martell’s Tiki Bar in Point Pleasant Beach.
Hundreds of fans brought their beach chairs, grabbed a cold drink and watched a huge card featuring rising stars from the independent scene and familiar battles with some championships on the line as well as future opportunities for those big matches.

The final co-main event of the evening featured what was described as “ContentMania” among three professional wrestlers who made incredible waves on social media. “Big Trouble” Ben Bishop looked to defend the Fight Factory Premier Championship against “Most Marketable” Richard Holliday and “The Veteran” Jack Vaughn.
Holliday made it clear from the jump that no one was exempt from his “Signature Move”, hitting it on Bishop early in the brawl. As the match progressed, Holliday and Bishop paid tribute to WWE star Matt Cardona, once nicknamed “Indy God,” and performed some of his moves in the ring.
Unfortunately, at one point the referee was knocked out. The championship game turned into a brawl with everyone trying to get licked before the official woke up from his sleep. Holliday seemed to be in control when Tommy Invincible’s music hit. “ContentMania” couldn’t do without Invincible, who has an audience comparable to those in the game.
Invincible would take out Holliday before the referee got going again. Bishop turned his attention to Vaughn, ultimately setting him up for the win.
The focus was on Holliday after the game. Amid rumors of his impending move to WWE, he left his boots in the ring after a match on Game Changer Wrestling this weekend. Would he do the same thing in Point Pleasant Beach?
Instead, Holliday, Bishop, Vaughn, and Invincible performed another wrestling trope. They took a page from the playbook of WWE legends Triple H, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Shawn Michaels and performed their own version of the infamous “Curtain Call.”
The act, which was performed at a house show in 1996, saw Triple H, Nash, Hall and Michaels break character and kiss. At that point, Nash and Hall were poised to turn things around and move to World Championship Wrestling (WCW). Triple H said that was when he thought the Attitude Era in professional wrestling had really begun.
The men in the ring Tuesday night also received a standing ovation. However, Invincible was not exempt from the “Signature Move”. Holliday hit him once more and the group headed to the rear.
Holliday’s future is bright and there are still plenty of dates left on his independent schedule this month. But he seemed to give the subtle hint that he might soon be linked to NXT.

First women’s championship
The other co-main event featured three of the most impactful female wrestlers the sport has to offer. Lady Frost defended her Fight Factory Wrestling Premier Women’s Championship against Steph De Lander and Allie Katch.
Each competitor was giving it their all with brutal chops, tough suplexes and going above and beyond to try to win this championship.

The match took place outside the ring in its final stages. Frost brought De Lander and Katch near the entrance where a purple SUV was parked. She climbed onto the roof of the vehicle and performed a moonsault on her competitors. This decision made the crowd vibrate. Katch recovered and returned to the ring.
But Frost had some unfinished business with De Lander. The frost spread across the sand and allowed De Lander, originally from Australia, to come into contact with the Atlantic Ocean. She threw De Lander into the water, completely submerging her competitor. De Lander was choked out and Frost returned to the ring.
Frost ultimately pinned Katch to retain the championship.
