Ryan Reynolds ‘unintentionally’ caught in Blake Lively’s legal mess

This makes for courtroom drama…with a side of marital tension.

Ryan Reynolds publicly stands by Blake Lively — but behind the scenes, the tone may be a little less superhero, a little more “can we wrap this up?” »

Like the Gossip Girl As the former student’s legal battle with Justin Baldoni moves closer to trial, Reynolds has now been thrust directly into the spotlight as a potential witness. And according to insiders, it’s not exactly her dream role.

“Ryan is fully publicly supportive,” a source said. “But in private? He wants this fixed.”

Because at this point, it’s not just Lively’s fight anymore.

“It appeals to him – and he knows it,” the source added. “He doesn’t want to be dragged into court.”

Understandable, considering what is at stake.

“He’s afraid it will destroy him too,” the source claimed. “His brand, his reputation, everything.”

And things don’t really get any simpler. After reports of legal setbacks and rejected appeals, some close to the case are questioning the game plan.

“A lot of people think this should have been taken care of by now,” the source said. “Now it’s getting bigger and more complicated and harder to control.”

Could Reynolds speak up? This is where things get really uncomfortable.

“It’s a nightmare scenario for him,” the source noted. “He’s now part of history, whether he likes it or not.”

Meanwhile, Lively won’t be taking a break anytime soon.

“She’s not backing down,” the source said. “But he wishes she would.”

In other words?

“He wants to get out…before this drags them both away.”

For those who don’t know, Justin Baldoni and Lively’s trial is set to begin on May 18, with all three of 13 complaints initially filed by Lively.

At a recent hearing, the judge dismissed all 10 complaints for lack of merit.
